Becoming a superhuman

You quickly run away, you feel horrible. Getting these powers wasn't good for you, you weren't made for this job. As you continued out in life, you were just a normal person, nothing special. Although you still had your powers, you have sworn off using them, from that day as a kid where you refused to help someone in danger, you couldn't do that anymore, so you stopped. Going into a sort of sadness that couldn't be cured, you went out to become just some person who worked at a gas station. A nobody.
