Extend the Story - Add a Room

A Tale of Two Choices by Bassoonist
Judith Prendagast overheard Brown's remark and screamed, "Murder. Help. Murder." The music stopped immediately and for a few seconds the room was deathly still. Then there was chaos, as men and women ran for the doors, not knowing who had been killed or where, but wanting to leave as quickly as possible.

Edmund rushed to the main door of the ballroom and kept it shut. "No-one is to leave this room or this house," he commanded. "If it is true that my friend, Charles Waterhouse has been murdered, then I intend to find out who has done this ghastly deed. Brown, make sure that no-one escapes until I come back."

With that, Edmund slipped out of the room, to see for himself what had happened in the library.

Edmund carefully opened the library door and looked in. Inside he saw...
Charles body slumped over, with a knife stuck in its back.
