One Way Out
You grabbed the baseball bat and felt the weight of it. You felt consoled by the protection that it gives you. You opened the door and saw John looking at you with a deadly smile. In one of his eyes, the pupils were dilated so much that most of the color in the eye was gone, replaced with black emptiness. You snapped out of the trance and swung the baseball bat at him.
John stopped the bat with one hand. He then yanked it from your grasp and swung the bat at you. You dodged straight into the bat, it hit you in the head and pain erupted. "How...?" you stuttered.
"You see, I'm merely one hell of a classmate."
