“Good, good.” The man says. He is a wrinkled man old and white with crazy white hair sticking at odd angles around his head. “Some automatic reactions already in place! Very promising!” He declares.

He begins to pace around the room muttering to himself as he does. “Still, still, still, still I should not get my hopes up! Others had the same reaction but nothing else. Not a true indicator of intelegence. Only the one that reacted at all intelegently. Such a mistake, such a mistake, such a mistake, still, can’t let them know! Oh no, they mustn’t know I’m trying to continue with the Android project. A failure they say! It’s my life’s work! One day they will... will... will...”

You continue to hear and catalogue his speech and yet pay it little mind as you do. You feel something blocked from you. Like part of your mind is not connected. You reach out to it...
You weave your way around it.
