You approach them to see if you can get any help from them, and as you turn the corner, you see them. The person was a man and looked the same age as you. HE was wearing a guards uniform. He said that he was the first person in the maze, and he changed the codes to make it easier for him to remember them in case he wanted to enter the mazes again. He seems friendly, so you become friends and you go on with the maze. He said that he was stuck on the maze, and if you helped him with that, he could use all of his other tactics to make it to the treasure. You use the method that you learned when you were younger, and both of you guys get to the chamber carrying the riches. You both split the riches and he thanks you because he has attempted to complete this maze for over a week now. You both go out the way that you came in and without each other's help, you guys would have never been able to complete the maze. You both leave the maze, and become really good friends. You both have the same passions and interests and you become partners in crime. You both steal from many other places after the heist from the fort and after 25 years of crime you decide to retire. You live a happy life after that on a remote island and the feds never catch you.
