Old Man's War

The battle is a complete disaster. It turns out the Consu had technology that allowed them to reanimate and control fallen soldiers, giving them the power to turn any fallen CDF member against them. While running in the chaos, your best friend takes a direct hit from a Consu sniper. Cowering in the bushes, you see your friend rise, brandish his rifle, and execute you at the Consu's orders. It was only a matter of time before the CDF's entire stock of reserves had fallen, causing them to abandon the planet, leaving only puppeted soldiers and vicious Consu remaining.
