Signs of the Infected
You use the back of your map to leave a note for your parents. You tell them that you did everything you could but you were bitten, and couldn't risk turning them so you had to leave to keep them safe. You tell them that you have have brought them enough supplies to last them another 3 months. You tell them that you love them and will see them again someday.
Then you push the cart of supplies up to the bunker door, knock, and then run as fast as you can. You wait to see your father bring the supplies in and then shut the door. You did it, you saved your family. But you couldn't save yourself.
