Homicide and Havoc on Halloween
You tell Zake to take your sister’s heart. “Ah, a young, selfish mind I see. Not bad. I hope you don’t have to die as well.” As he turns around to leave, you snatch the metal bracelet off of Octavia’s wrist, careful not to let Zake see. After you no longer hear his footsteps, you exit the room, as stealthily as possible, careful not to make a single sound. You see an elevator, so you tiptoe through an autopsy room. You slip into the elevator and press the main floor button with shaking hands. As the elevator closes, you spy Scarlett’s body, limp, and sagging against the wall. Her body is covered with gashes and her skin has turned red from all the extracted blood. This putrid sight makes you wretch, and you vomit, but by then, the elevator has closed, and your noises are inaudible from the outside. Once you reach the ground level, you look for Zake, but he luckily is out of sight. You remember you still have your phone with you, but now is not the time to call the police. You hear running footsteps down the stairs. “Oh, no,” you think to yourself. “It has to be Zake. He knows I’m here.” You remember the bracelet you took from your sister’s wrist. Quickly, you fumble with it and bend it into a pin-shape. You manage to unlock the door, just as Zake is maniacally screaming your name, only yards away from you. You slam the door on his face behind you, and you run, all the way home, sobbing. Once you get to the front door of your house, you call the police.
One week has passed since Octavia and Scarlett’s death. Later on Halloween night, Zake was shot to death by the police, and it turned out that he was responsible for murdering over fifty females in the past year. Once you explained to your mother what happened, unfortunately, she grounded you for life because you did not sacrifice yourself for Octavia. At least being grounded for life isn’t as bad as having your heart ripped out by an mentally disabled man.
