Outlander

The next time you see a patrolling bandit, you yell at him.
"Hey you!"
The rough-looking man gives you a wicked look.
"Hey yerself!" the bandit begins to walk away but you call out again.
"Don't ignore me! I need something."
"We gave you a nice, warm cage. What more could you want?"
"I want out! I challenge you to a fight. If I win, you set me free."
The bandit seems to mull it over, then shrugs his shoulders and, with a grumble, unlocks the cage. This is your chance. You have been practicing a fireball spell for hours and you just know that it will work. You get into a stance so that he thinks you are going to fistfight him, then you begin to recite the words of power. Unfortunately, the bandit did not intend to fight fair and he runs you through with his sword.
the last word you hear are, "Bloody peasants are too much trouble."
