Extend the Story - Add a Room

Vendetta by Alluka
I stayed silent, unsure of what to do or say.

They were fighting over what I would normally think as a mundane subject. But if I said that, they could probably rip me in pieces. Especially the girl, guessing from what she said before, I could tell she had power and was a valuable asset to the government.

More reason not to mess around with her.

"Mr Colvin, how about you introduce yourself first?"

That question was more like a command, and I'm sure everyone here knew that. "My name is Emery," I followed along.

"Good, at least I know one of them isn't as stubborn or prideful," he muttered under his breath.

"I already knew your name," she snapped. Lying further into the leather chair. "I'm definitely more observant than you humans."

"Please, just introduce yourself," it seemed the Professor had to resort to pleading her.

Was this the sign of authority she had?

"Fine," she groaned. "My name's Seven, end of story."

"Seven?" Strange. No sane parent or caregiver would ever name their child after animals, let alone numbers.

"What? Are you going to tell me now you're deaf? More to add on to my why you're weak list ?" She got up from her seat, twirled around on her heel and headed towards the door.

"No-"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm leaving." She got on her feet, and spun her heel, having every intention to exit the door.

"Seven," Professor Quartzworth called out.

"Shut up old man," she snapped, opening the door with one hand while the other was shoved in her jacket pocket. "And you, I'll make your life miserable, don't for a second think you can control me." Then she slammed the door behind her.

"That girl," he muttered, pinching his nose.
Ask Professor Quartzworth about her.
