Your family spends many days traveling to Turkey, public buses and trains are only running in a few isolated areas, so you mostly walked. It was hot and very tiring. The border crossing into Turkey, took almost a month due to a lack of identity papers as most of this was lost in the fire. After this long delay you were settled into a town near the capital. Turkish citizens look at you with suspicion, you aren't sure why. The language is different and the family has to attend a special school to learn the language. So far your father hasn't found a job, but the government is giving the family an allowance. With it you are able to buy food, and pay your rent, but there isn't enough for clothing or furniture.
