Out Of the Abyss

You decide to attack immediately. All your men are armed with small maces and daggers, you are armed with a small dagger. You take up a position near the door, and as the first drow enters you jump up and stab him in the stomach. He staggers back and is about to call for help, when you get behind him, put your hand over his mouth, and snap his neck. You don his chainmail and take his shortsword and move out. A fellow duegear takes the crossbow with the poison bolts. You and your force rush out and encounter a drow patrol. You immediately square off with a drow and cut him down before he can even raise his weapon. All but one of drow have fallen and as a duegear charges the drow, the drow sends a crossbow bolt into the duegear's left eye. As the duegear falls, the drow raises a horn to his lips and blows. A loud noise erupts out of it and all of the drow in the compound are alerted. You see an opening in the gate and you go for it. But as you run across, crossbow bolts pepper you and our comrades as you try to run across. You die moments away from freedom.
