Period 5 HSA

Overall revolutions/ reforms transformed the women contributed to society. In history, women were seen as housewives, cooking for the family, caring for children, and tending to the house. But after several revolutions/ reformations women gradually gained suffrage, political offices, economic independence, and job positions. In the French Revolution, many French philosophers ,such as Louis de Jaucourt, criticized traditional roles for women. Additionally women began to write plays, stories, and philosophical publications.
