The Revolution was moving into a more radical phase. Over the next month, hundreds of suspected royalists are executed in what became known as the “September Massacre”. Fearing further violence, the Assembly places you under arrest. During your imprisonment the Assembly has disbanded and replaced itself with a new political body named the National Convention. This bodies first acts were to halt the foreign invasion, push back the Austrians and Prussians, and charge you with treason. Once your trial concludes, you are found guilty and sentenced to death. On January 21, 1793, you are driven through the streets of Paris to a guillotine and decapitated.
