Life on Planet Limbo

Having sat in the back of the shuttle, you were one of the last to be checked. He disappeared into the pilots room and the ship started up. The lights flickered as the engine roared to life before being completely turned over.

The ship lurched, but the belt held you tight in your spot. The blast from taking off was almost violent, your whole body pressed hard against the belts, your head almost resting on the person next to you.

You looked towards the cockpit. You could see the planet fast approaching as you entered the atmosphere of the planet. One large continent centered in a huge red ocean.

Everyone was silent. The ship had it's noises, but otherwise everything and everyone was silent.

A loud cackle over the intercom of the cockpit came over, "Shuttle 2," you could hear even in the back.

"You have a Hylit ship heading in your direction, increase your speed to make it to our fighters."

The Hylit. You recognized that name. One of the species inhabiting Limbo. Aggressive towards humans. You heart jumped into your throat, people beginning to panic.

"Sir we're at max speed, we will evade as best we can," the pilot said.

You continued to watch as the ground came closer, but you were still far away.

"We're gonna' make it, we have to," you thought.

Shortly after you thought that, a loud blast hit the opposite row of seats you were in but directly infant of you. The blast deafened you, but you watched as a few of the seats were sucked from the ship, along with your pack.

You couldn't think. You could barely breathe, with the hole in front of you sucking all the oxygen from the shuttle.

"We're hit!" Shouted the pilot.

You didn't know what to do, you panicked and held tightly onto your belt,
The ship began to spiral, nose down.

Loud popping and cracking and screeching from the ship filled your ears as they finally came to. You looked up, seeing a small slit of light as it grew. A few moments later, the ship split into two. Your half of the ship spiraled, jerking you around, pulling all the blood to your head.
You couldn't even think as your seat was ripped from the back half of the shuttle, throwing you into the air.

Air rushed past your face as you free fall through Limbo's sky.

You spun much slower, able to see your surroundings. You heart beat hard, a million miles an hour in your chest. Every rotation of your seat you could see the ground fast approaching.

You couldn't scream or breathe as you smashed into Limbo's forest, killing you on impact.
