Making lasagne is a long process. All that slicing, frying, crushing, mixing and stirring, and that is just the bolognese part of the process. Then there is the white sauce, which is fraught with its own problems.

Just as you are getting to a critical point with the white sauce and whilst Concrete Cows is on Radio 4 (which is a highly amusing sketch show, worth listening to)the phone rings
