Extend the Story - Add a Room

Markus listened carefully as the footsteps got closer and louder. Markus readied his weapon, a wooden Baseball Bat, ready to swing at whomever or whatever came through the door.
'All clear,' Markus heard through the door. It sounded to him as if to be coming from the room next door.
'All clear in here too. What's keeping you Samson?'
'All clear guys,' a third voice called. Markus deduced that was Samson.
'How many more rooms are left?' asked the first person.
'Five more rooms. I'll check this one,' answered Samson.
The door knob rattled, but the door stayed closed. As Markus entered the room, he made sure to lock the door behind him so no weird people could bite him or whatever the hell they wanted.
'Hey guys! This door's locked!'
'Here, let me try.'
The door knob rattled again. Then the door began to get kicked.
'HEY, HEY, HEY!' Yelled the first person. 'Stop! You'll attract "them".'
'Sorry Paul. Well, how do you suppose we open the door?' said the second person.
'Samson. Do you still have that Jimmy Bar?' asked Paul.
'Yeah!'
'Try to pry the door open. No bashing it down. I'll go scout outside. Make sure those things weren't alerted.'

Markus' eyes widened knowing they were about to enter the room. He didn't know if he was safe or not, but he knew he had to act pretty soon. Should he open the door, try to escape, or wait to bash these guys' skulls in?
