Extend the Story - Add a Room

"Argh! My face!

He screams in anguish as he stumbles away from the counter.

Ow! I can't believe you did that, man!"

You watch intently as the blood pours from his left cheek where the knife had penetrated his flesh. Which when pulled from his face would become an open wound.

He drops his weapon, to tend to the wound you had caused.

Nothing the doctors can't fix... You think to yourself.

Seeking your advantage, you audaciously leap over the counter, striking the man down with your leg, to retreive the shotgun.

He grunts angrily, then winces in pain as he yanks the knife from his face.

"Get on your knees!"

The man obeys your command, whether or not he fears, or seeks to betray you, no emotion shows on his face. But is readable through the way he moves, the way he looks into your eyes, as if staring into your soul.

"Please don't rat me out...I'm just trying to make a living. My family--"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah...I've heard it all before, asshole. You're gonna tell me some story about your family being in poverty, you being without a job, and some shit about you not wanting a criminal record...Spare me the mother-fucking lecture."

You pause to stare deeply into his eyes, and watch his movements thoroughly.

"Then, as I drop my guard, you wrestle me to the ground and take everything. Is that not true?"

You say suspiciously. Before you know it, the man had seen his advantage, noticed your lowered defense and did as you had known.

He wrestles you to the ground and beats you senseless, his fists smacking your face and chest with passion and fury.

"You were right about me." He mutters as he lifts himself up to his feet.

"I am as ignoble as you assumed. I apologize, but I must do as I must."

You murmur something about..Killing him..Something unintelligable beneath your breath. Your body remains desultory.

The man then scans something at random, and opens the register to look in surprise at the contents.

This leaves a pain in your soul...An anger deep within you, rising, rapidly increasing, boiling up inside you.

Remain grounded.
