Confusion of the Mind

As inquisitively as you can, you try your best to make a stoplight with a caterpillar eating a hot dog. Smiling proudly, you show it to the pot of liquid silver. The silver replies, "It's quite lovely, perhaps." It pauses dramatically... "But, you haven't quite captured the essence of the stoplight's shimmer, and the hot dog has absolutely no texture!" This answer breaks your heart...literally.
