You spend £2 on the coconut shy until you realise how much that actually is.
On the way home, you speak with Peggy and Mike.
"Listen, kid, we're gonna drop you back," he says.
"Don't you want me?" you reply.
"It's not that, sweetheart," Peggy says, "It's just that if we're carrying a kid around, we need him to have a sense of adventure."
"I have a sense of adventure!" you protest.
Mike chuckles.
"You know who I met today?" Mike asks.
"Who?"
"John freakin' Lennon. I met John Lennon!" Mike replies excitedly. "What did you do, kid?"
You look down at your shoes sheepishly.
"Sorry, honey." Peggy says, "But it's for the best. You'll see. We'll wipe your memory when we get back to Oxford and it will be like you've never been away."
