Universe by Dan2
You decide to have Bao give you a tour of Cathala. You have seen a lot of fascinating places in the universe through your Academy studies on Derista but actually visiting one of those places is much more breathtaking than you could have even imagined. Bao leads you along wooden panels on the ground floor and you pass many different merchant stalls, where Weyans of all interesting forms sell items that to you seem just as curious. You also pass houses and you note that the traditional Weyan house (at least in Cathala) seem to accomodate at least more than one family. They are wooden but built with another kind of material that gives them the impression of big, poofy moth balls. It is a very interesting style of house and you have never seen anything quite like it.

Bao explains "On the ground floor is where most of our citizens live. It is the safest region, although we have never had an incident regarding the stability of the upper levels. But the ground floor is easier to move around in and most markets reside down here."

As you pass by citizens and traders on the ground, you can't help but notice one elderly Weyan in ragged clothes is preaching to a group of a few people. All that you can hear as you briefly pass by is "And that is what shall happen once the Rakkers are finally able to bring righteousness to our empty city!" But you notice that Bao has slightly picked up his pace so you quicken to catch up with him.

Bao now leads you up a grand flight of stairs and once you reach the top, you're standing twenty feet in the trees! Here, there are more moth-ball homes but they are spaced out much further apart and are attached to the trees, like an enormous nut. Bao leads you through some wooden bridges, all of which do seem very stable, and takes you in front of a gigantic moth-ball building.

"This," he explains. "Is our Culture Center. It is the greatest library in the entire Athar Region and also boasts a rich amount of history about our city and the whole planet of Weyah itself."

"Wow," you say. "Very impressive. I'll have to check it out later."

He leads you onto another grand staircase and the two of you rise another forty feet into the trees. Now on this level, you notice that the buildings are significantly more eloquent in design and build. There are a few houses but not many at all and the people you do see walking around up here are all dressed very nicely. You suppose that this level is where the wealthiest people of Cathala live and you figure it makes sense. The rich want to live away from the clutter and bustle of the "lower" citizens so they just build themselves higher up so as to not be bothered. Typical humanity, you sigh.

Bao leads you to a large diamond-shaped building, silver in color. It is by far the most impressive building you've seen yet and that's saying a lot. It shimmers in the grand sunlight, catching it just perfectly through the trees.

"And this is our Prime Capitol Building where the minister and our legislature commence. Sessions can take from as little as an hour to sometimes as long as ten days."

You suddenly hear a scream from below you and rushing to the nearest balcony, you and Bao look down. Far down below, you can just make out the sight of a body lying on the ground. You immediately take to the stairs, racing down past the second level and onto the ground floor. Bao trails behind you with heavy breaths.

Once you have reached the ground floor, you see a large huddle already forming around the body. Most of the Weyans are hysterical, sobbing or shouting out curses. One comes up to you and shakes you by the shoulders.

"The Minister!" he cries. "The Minister's just killed himself!"

As you grasp this with a growing feeling of dread, you push past people to look down upon the crumpled and pitiful body of Minister Ryol. His eyes seem to gaze at you, but still you inspect the scene, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Some Cathala police now approach you and ask you to kindly "Remove your presence sir." Obviously, they don't fully understand the significance of your position. But is it worth it to try and reason with them? Or should you do what they say and clear off for now?
