Extend the Story - Add a Room

Universe by Dan2
Gazing around at the cage, you count up the number of Chikari slaves in here with you and after three times, you see that there are exactly 23 Chikari in here with you. You aren't sure how many slavers there are up at the plantation lodge but you realize that the most important factor your slavers have above you is their guns and weapons. You and the other Chikari are, well, completely defenseless.

You let out a low whistle to gain the slaves' attention. They eye you curiously and as you motion for them to come over near you, about half of them oblige. The other half remain exactly where they are, giving you looks of discontempt.

You aren't fluent in Chikarian or whatever native language these people have been raised to speak.

"Does anyone speak Human?" you ask.

A wavering hand gently rises from the back of the group and you motion for this Chikari, an aging male, to come up next to you.

"Whatever I say, repeat it back to them okay?" you ask.

"Yes. I understand fine," the Chikari repsonds.

"Good," you say. "Okay well, I am a Universal Ranger. My mission is to bring justice and peace to the universe and all of its inhabitants. My first mission is to deal with the slavery here on Chista and I would like you all to help me."

You wait a minute while the elderly Chikari relays all of this back to the crowd. You gaze at their expressions, some seem to be almost cracking a smile. Do these people even know how to smile? You also see a few heads nod while others just continue to stare down at the ground, obviously not believing what they're hearing.

When your translator's done, you continue "Now what we need to figure out is a way we can all get out of here through a cooperated plan. I want you to all discuss amongst yourselves and tell me when these people are most vulnerable."

There is a chattering babble among the group and now you see, more Chikari are coming up to join the group. Now you have pretty much everyone involved. You allow them to talk for over an hour and when your translator returns to you, he presents you with three options:

1. You can wait until the next time they come to feed you, in which they throw beans and nuts into the cage. Normally only one or two slavers do this.

2. You can wait until they bring you out to the fields and then stage an escape.

3. You can disorient them by causing a loud pandemonium at night, hopefully resulting in them not being prepared to stop you once they come check on the cage.

The choice is yours, Ranger.
