Extend the Story - Add a Room

You decide that the best move for now is to just stay put, go along with captivity, and take note on as much as you can. The other Chikari continue to give you strange looks but for the most part you are completely ignored. You reason that these people are probably scared of you.

Two days go by, both of which you spend laboriously chopping down trees and working in the fields harvesting fruits. The days are hot, muggy, and you realize towards the end of the second day that you have been in an almost constant sweat. Your slavers feed you two meals a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. They never present the food (mostly nuts and such) directly into your hands; rather, they simply throw it at the feet of you and the rest of the slaves.

During these two days, you are able to obtain a much deeper understanding of the way slaving is treated on Chista and through this, you start to develop plans as to how and stop the institution. As soon as you can break out of here, you hope that you may see one of these plans through to fruition.

On the third day, it happens. You are wading in a murky river, along with five other Chikari slaves. Your current assignment is to harvest as much seagrass as you can, for apparently your slavers can harvest the substance into fuel. All of a sudden a large moan is heard from the water. The Chikari look around wide-eyed at each other, every person terrified.

A Slabreth slaver is standing on the bank of the river with his gun loaded and aimed at your group. "Keep working!" he shouts and then fires a warning shot into the river.

Then before you can even comprehend it, a large slimy body whips from the river bed and lunges its face full of sharp teeth directly at the Slabreth. He screams and fires another shot, but it is a futile attempt; he is devoured less than two seconds later.

The river beast, a large grotesque worm-type thing, lets out a long howl and dives back down underwater. You and the other Chikari waste no time and hurry to the bank of the river, where you struggle up the muddy side.

Standing at the top, you and the other slaves take long deep breaths. You hear shouting in the distance and realize that more slavers are on their way.

Now is your chance to escape. But are you better off going alone..or taking the Chikari with you?
