Horoscopic

Lordy, I hope this doesn't sound politically-incorrect, but...Indians are so insane sometimes. I asked Parminder for the secret to her killer remedy, and thirty seconds later, she was inviting me over for dinner. Did I mention how hard it is to say no to her?

So that's how I wound up sitting in a warm, colorful living room, at a table with nine other people (Parminder's family plus two other kidnapped guests), eating amazing, wonderful, incredible food and talking nonstop. I feel great. This was just what I need, this blast of curry and nutmeg, light and laughter and interaction. I've been way too job-oriented lately.

Best of all....I kept exchanging glances with the one quiet guy at the table, and after dinner I managed to strike up a conversation with him. He's Parminder's brother, Devesh, and he's doing engineering grad school here in the U.S. He's shy, but we share the same tastes in music and fiction, and....

I'm getting flustered. I know we've only just met, but there's chemistry. It's there. He actually asked me to meet for coffee sometime. So politely, too! And he's rather cute.

I'm going to follow up on this and hope Devesh and I can make a real connection. So, crazily enough, the Leo prediction came true! It came true perfectly! So much for Shirley and her horoscopes.

Although....if a horoscope dumped this nice man in my lap, maybe I should keep reading them....
