This guy is not messing around. He puts a bullet in the cashier and cleans out the register. On his way out he runs into Jake, who was startled by the gun-shot-like sound and rushed in. The man is on his way to a full-fledged killing spree- Jake is finished. You cannot help but yell out in horror, and this is the last sound you make.
