Hall of Infinite Doors

In light of recent events, trying to reach the castle now would be madness. You return home to find Beonard unharmed, but devastated by the partial collapse of the Chamber of the Heavens and the irreparable damage it caused to his beloved viewing machine. Regretfully you explain that his message can no longer be delivered, and though he seems understanding enough, it seems to you that he's never quite the same again, spending more and more time in bed and losing interest in his studies.

The Great Bridge's plunge into the Chasm also plunges the Underkingdom into a period of famine, rebellion, and chaos, but this, along with the wild rumors of a new race of dragons waging a devastating war in the skies above the Overworld, you mostly ignore in order to concentrate on caring for your rapidly waning master in what prove to be the last few months of his life.
