"The Last Crusade of Camelot" by CYOAWritersGuild
The ladies begine to pick up their pace as they pass the hall. You strain your ears to try and hear the conversation. You are concentrating so hard that you don't even realize Lady Cytheria is talking to you. "Pardon me?" you say. "I was just saying I don't see how they can stand so much violence. It just tires my heart the way these knights ride off whenever anything happens and waste away their lives in foreign lands. They spend no time enjoying their own lands. It just seems a pity." she repeats. You nod and murmer that you agree. By now the voices are all but absent from your ears and you yearn to know what more they discussed. You casually excuse yourself from the ladies presence saying you must retrieve something from the gardens before the sun sets (grimmacing inwardly at your weak excuse.
You run to the practice courts...hoping you might find your friend, the prince, there. Maybe he will know what's going on.
