Extend the Story - Add a Room

"We show it on TV, but we go area by area according to the highest killings" said Kazuo. "Yes that might work, we should leave a gap for him to respond in, then move to the next area, but if he wants us to chase him he will probably be waiting for an answer" said Z. "Then we should make this message as soon as possible" said Kazuo. "Yes, A and Y, you two go and make this video, I shouldn't have to tell you not to appear at all on this video" said Z. "I understand" said A, as he and Y left the room.

Several hours later, A and Y returned to the investigation room, with the video. "I'll put it in the computer so you can watch it" said Y, placing the video disc into the player. The video played, the message was nearly all the information Z had found, enough for them to move to the next clue. The entire message was read by M. "That will do" said Z, when the video had finished. "Z, I found the area where most of the killings have happened" said Kazuo. "Good, I don't care where it is, we'll show the video there first. Y go and make sure the video gets aired there now" said Z. "Yes" said Y, leaving with the video disc. "A go with Y for back up" said Z. "Alright" said A, leaving the room as well.

"Kazuo, this one is very different from the other Kiras" said Z. "I know, the others never wanted us to chase them and this one seems to kill almost at random, almost as if it's just a game to them" said Kazuo. "Yes, exactly. But why are they playing a game what are they after?" said Z. "They might be after power, or becoming better than the world's greatest detective, but they could also be after nothing and just kill at the time for the thrill of the power of the Death Note, without any thought to the future after it" said Kazuo. "I see, but it's still to hard to see what they're after" said Z. "No, it looks like they want us to chase him, at the moment, we at least have some idea of how they think" said Kazuo, Z looked surprised.

"Kazuo, if this Kira kills me I want you to be the successor to Z" said Z.
