Kazuo put down the costume and looked at PIPOr's Death Note, he turned to the last page she had written in. "I should keep this away from here for a while, she needs the rest" thought Kazuo, as he opened the door and walked out of the house. "So Kazuo what are we going to do now?" asked Ryuk. Kazuo suddenly stopped walking and started writing in the Death Note, then teared a few pages out. "Gizou, come here" Kazuo said, Gizou walked through the wall and out of the house. "What!?" said Gizou. "I want you to take these blank pages from PIPOr's Death Note and give them to this person" said Kazuo, pointing to the name he just wrote in the Death Note. "So you found a way to make a new Kira, completely under your control" said Gizou. "Keh keh keh keh keh! That's good Kazuo, this will be very interesting to watch" said Ryuk.
"I don't need to stay with the human do I, Kazuo?" asked Gizou. "No, just give them the blank pages and explain a few of the basic rules" said Kazuo. "Heh, good, it would be boring to be around this person, they'll only have 15 pages" said Gizou. "Also, Gizou, I want you to tell them a fake rule" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! Not only will they be forced to be Kira, they won't know the rules properly" said Ryuk. "What's the fake rule going to be then Kazuo?" asked Gizou. "The person who writes less than 200 names each week will die" said Kazuo. "Hmmm... That will be an interesting rule" said Gizou. "Make sure you mention that rule after they've written down the first name" said Kazuo. "OK" said Gizou, as he flew away.
"Keh keh keh keh keh! Who is this new Kira you just made Kazuo?"asked Ryuk. "I'm not going to say, until when they die according to the Death Note" said Kazuo. "Why not... You can tell me..."said Ryuk. "Then where is the fun you came here for Ryuk" said Kazuo. "I see" said Ryuk, as they started walking down the street. "Where are we going Kazuo?" asked Ryuk. "I'm not really sure, I guess I might as well pretend to investigate" said Kazuo. Suddenly Kazuo's phone rang.
"Hello" said Kazuo. "Kazuo, this is Z. I need you to come here now, there's something I need to tell everyone" said Z. "OK, I'm on my way" said Kazuo, Z hung up. "Keh keh keh keh keh! What do you think he wants Kazuo?" asked Ryuk. "I already know Ryuk, it's about Tomoko Mikami" said Kazuo, as they walked to the train station. "Oh... That's right" said Ryuk, following Kazuo, up the stairs to the station. "There's one thing I haven't figured out though Ryuk, why didn't Z's shinigami say anything about you?" asked Kazuo. "Uh... I don't think he saw me... or he was just alright with it.... Shinigami don't need to tell humans about other shinigami" said Ryuk. "I see" said Kazuo, looking at Ryuk. "He definitely knows something about it, but doesn't want to tell me, I'll have to be careful around Ryuta" thought Kazuo, as they got on the train.
"Hey Kazuo, are you going to kill the rest of the investigation team?" asked Ryuk, as the train left the station. "No, the new Kira will kill them, probably one by the time I get there, maybe a bit after" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! So they're no longer you're problem?" asked Ryuk. "Not at all, thanks to that report Near gave me I know all the rules, and I tested I can use people in the Death Note to kill, thanks to the loop hole I noticed in the rule that stops them from doing that" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! So this new Kira will die when he has no pages left?" asked Ryuk. "No he'll die in 23 days when he writes the final name on the last page, the investigation team should be gone by then" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! You really found holes in the rules, interesting" said Ryuk.
The train stopped and they got out of it and walked down the stairs of the station, it was still dark, but the city had lots of lights so it was well lit, there were only a few people walking around. Near was standing next to a black car reading a newspaper. "Good, you're here" said Near, when he saw Kazuo. "Hello" said Kazuo, as he approached the car. "Z has bad news for the whole team" said Near, as they got in the car. "That's too bad" said Kazuo, as the car left.
"Good everyone is here" said Z, when they entered the main investigation room of L's building. "Everyone isn't here yet, where's Tomoko? It's not like her to be late" said Yamahiko, as he looked at his watch. "That's the bad news I called you all here for" said Z. "What? Kira killed Tomoko" said Wataru. "Damn it! He must have those shinigami eyes that were in the report" said Sagara, looking at the fake ID. "These fake badges are useless!" yelled Sagara, as he threw it at the floor. "No not really, there might be a second kira" said Z. "What if there is only one Kira, and he is just trying to trick you by making you think that there are two" said Ai. "Keh keh keh keh keh! I think she just helped you a bit Kazuo" said Ryuk. "Heh if only he could be right for once, but this isn't bad or good" thought Kazuo.
"I want you all to be more careful from now on, also I suspect that one of you may be Kira" said Z. "What?! Kira killed Tomoko" yelled Sagara. "I know, but that doesn't exclude anyone" said Z. "So we have to stay here all the time then?" asked Wataru. "No, you can leave whenever you want, but only the investigation team knows who is working on this" said Z. "What happens if Kira kills you?" asked Ai. "I told my shinigami if I die I give up my ownership and it gets given to my backup" said Z. "I'm not going to say who that is though, and I'm certain they would probably kill you all if I die" said Z, smiling confidently. "Keh keh keh keh keh! He got you there Kazuo" said Ryuk.
"You can all leave now" said Z, turning around on his chair to continue watching the screens. Wataru fell down. "What!?!?" said Yamahiko. Ai checked Wataru's pulse. "He's dead" said Ai. "Damn it!" yelled Sagara. "I see that means none of you here are Kira, I know the Death Note can manipulate the time of death, but no one knew the time. When you go through the main door all electronic devices, unless they are approved by my security system, temporarily stop working, Yamahiko look at your watch, what time is it" said Z.
"It's 9:30...... Still..... How did I not notice it before? I was wondering why I always seemed to have the wrong time" said Yamahiko. "The only person with access to the time is Near, however I don't suspect he is Kira, I've kept the Death Note locked up with me all the time, only I have the key, and that's locked away in a vault that's impossible to open unless you have my password, DNA, all fingerprints, same eyes, same voice and another key" said Z. "That means that no one here is Kira after all" said Kazuo. "Exactly, I told Ryuta to tell me if any shinigami come here, as you can see he sits here and watches the monitors with me; we see everything that happens in this building and so far no shinigami have come at all" said Z. "That's good to know" said Yamahiko.
Kazuo looked at Ryuta, who was smiling.
"You can all leave now if you want, continue your investigation" said Z. Kazuo left the room. "Keh keh keh keh keh! He thinks you can't possibly be Kira" said Ryuk, as they walked out the building. "Yes, I planed the first kill for the new Kira to happen then, so he would think that" said Kazuo. "KEH KEH KEH KEH KEH KEH! Just as planned" said Ryuk as they got on the train. "Now I have to figure out who Z's back up is" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh! Then you win?" asked Ryuk. "Yes, then I beat Z" said Kazuo. "Unless it gets messed up, then you're dead. Keh keh keh keh keh keh!" said Ryuk. "Right...." said Kazuo, as they got in the train. "But, Ryuta has definitely seen you, I think I'll get Gizou to find this out for me" said Kazuo. "It's not because you think I'm stupid is it?" asked Ryuk. "No" said Kazuo. "Good, because I wouldn't do it anyway. Keh keh keh keh!" said Ryuk.
