"Alright then, I'll wait for Near at the train station" said Kazuo. "Yes, that would probably be better than from the office. I'll contact you later" said Z. "Well if I'm meeting Z, I'll have to read the file he sent more Ryuk" said Kazuo. "But that will be so boring Kazuo..... Fine" said Ryuk, staring out the window. Kazuo continued to read the file Z had sent him as the train continued.
"Kazuo are we there now?" asked Ryuk as the train stopped. "Yes Ryuk, we get off the train here" said Kazuo walking out of the train. "Ryuk we'll be meeting Near soon so I won't be able to talk to you for a while" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! I'll miss talking with you as well Kazuo" said Ryuk. Kazuo continued walking towards the exit of the station, then he noticed Near standing by a black car. "Hello Kazuo" said Near, as Kazuo got in the car. "So where is Z anyway Near?" asked Kazuo. "Hi Kazuo" said another person in the car. "That's Soliz, he's also chosen by Z to help with this case" said Near. "Nice to meet you Soliz" said Kazuo. "Huh the name's backwards" thought Kazuo as the car started to move.
"Z's using the same building L built for the first Kira case" said Soliz. "Huh? Really? So we'll be working in a building that L used for fighting against Kira?" said Kazuo. "Yes, L also designed the building just for that one purpose; to be the best place for working on any crime" said Soliz. "I worked with L" said Near, no one else in the car spoke. "I mean, I met him once" said Near. "That's what I thought you meant Near" said Soliz, as the car stopped. They got out, Ryuk was laughing. "This is the place, follow me" said Near, walking into the building.
"So have you actually talked to Z, Kazuo?" asked Soliz. "Yes, haven't you?" said Kazuo, as the entered the elevator. "No, I received an email telling me to be at the station" said Soliz. "Huh? Why did you go then?" said Kazuo. "I don't know really, I guess 'helped the world's greatest detective since L stop the return of Kira', sounded good for a resume" said Soliz, Ryuk laughed.
They got out of the elevator. "What did you think of Z anyway, when you talked to him Kazuo?" asked Soliz. "What do you mean?" said Kazuo, as they walked along a long corridor. "Was he cool? Or was he boring. Maybe just trying too hard to be L, like Near" said Soliz, Near looked sad. "I don't know, I guess he was smart, but the second test was good" said Kazuo.
Near opened a door to a large room. The room had a wall completely covered by screens, but they were all blank. No one else was in the room, Ryuk was laughing. "So where's Z, Near?" asked Kazuo. "I'm Z" said Soliz. "What!?! Really, so I've already met Z?" said Kazuo. "Yes and you passed my final test" said Soliz. "What was it?" said Kazuo. "When I asked you if you thought Z was cool" said Soliz.
"Now that we're safe. You can call me Zilos or Z. The name you got before was backwards; no real reason though, just bored I guess" said Z. "Ok" said Kazuo. "You read the file I sent you?" asked Z. "Yes" said Kazuo. "Good" said Z. "Near turn the screens on so I can explain this to Kazuo" said Z. "Yes, Z" said Near, turning the power on. "See this graph here Kazuo?" said Z when the computers had finished loading. "Yes" said Kazuo.
"The different colours represent the different companies. When we overlap all of the entries like this" said Z, pressing a button. "Similarities show up, now because of the work of L; which was recreated by Near. We can no longer place mass-deaths as coincidence, with the knowledge of the Death Note. At first I thought this might be the work of the cult thats trying to find Kira, but I soon figured out it was more likely coincidental then being related in any way to that cult. Then after seeing that all those companies had several employees die 3 days after each recall I couldn't just put it aside as just coincidental, so I looked into it. I noticed that all those 500 deaths were heart attacks. Putting that with the fact that the keychains all had the word Kira on it, I suspect that there is a new Kira" said Z. "Why do you think its a new Kira?" asked Kazuo. "Because I saw the original Kira die" said Near.
"Yes although it wasn't recorded officially the original Kira, Light Yagami, died caught in one of Near's traps" said Z. "I gathered that this was a new Kira because they are using only keychains with Kira on them, most likely to let someone like me know that there's a new Kira. I expect there to be at least some kind of video shown in the next couple of days" said Z. "Wouldn't people stop buying the keychains then?" said Kazuo, "No, people are usually stupid like that, If something gets enough attention it will gather even more attention; Usually for no real reason at all, obviously this new Kira is using people's obsession with material goods to kill. This might be completely different than the original Kira, or maybe that's just a warm-up just to let people know of Kira's return before they continue like the original Kira, this is more likely than the first idea" said Z. "Why?" asked Kazuo. "Because by using the obsession with material goods, the goal would be to stop useless purchasing. This would completely destroy all major economies, sending the world into a depression and into chaos, the opposite of the world Kira was trying to create" said Z.
