The Great Conflict

You pull back into the staircase from the catacombs and signal to your PEAB's to come in and reinforce you. You use the staircase as a bottle neck and kill any peasant warriors that attempt to come down and battle you. You dispatch of a few peasants but no clerics pursue you and after a few minutes the PEABs arrive. You command them to use suppressing fire to counteract the cleric's magic as well as to kill any peasant warriors in the way while you focus on incapacitating clerics. You fight your way to the main hall and initially the strategy is a success but the time you wasted allowed the clerics to summon in reinforcements. You and your PEAB's are outnumbered and eventually the PEAB's are short circuited by cleric lighting bolts and you are surrounded and beaten by a hoard of combatants before you are able to paralyze all of the clerics. You wasted too much time staging your attack and they were able to build to strong of a defense. Not even your PEAR could tear through all the peasant warriors and enhanced beasts they had summoned. The attack does not kill you, and your unconscious body is dragged to an interrogation chamber within the religious compound.

You are awakened by a splash of cold water on your face, and you find that you have been stripped of all your non essential bionic gear and equipment. Several clerics take turns interrogating you about secrets of the logical side. They use small flames and electric shocks to torture you and to try to extract information. When these do not work they move to more severe methods including small limb manipulation and eventually removal. Still, you remain silent. Finally, after hours of torture and you speaking nothing a small implant in your head is signaled by a remote source to open up and it pours toxin into your brain, killing you. Apparently the logical had determined you had been gone too long and that you must have been captured and rather than risk information be revealed they decided to terminate you.
