Oh yeah, about that. The "D.D.S." was actually just the sign-maker getting into a habit from all the other D.D.S.es. Why it didn't affect the door to France, I don't know. But yeah, it was supposed to just say "Bottomless Pit". You fall into a bottomless pit.
