Hollywood or Bust by sansevieria
He hands you the address of the place the auditions are taking place: an old theatre, way on the outskirts of town. The famous director flashes a totally white smile at you and carries on down the road.

Days later, you go to the audition. You've got your best outfit on, a wonderful 1920s piece and a quirky beret, because, after all, you need to stand out from the crowd!
You join a crowd of about 8 other young people, all crowding round a board.
"Nicholas, that's the part I'm going for." a young man grins and points to a list of characters on his script.
Gripped by panic, you realise you have no script.
"I haven't got a script!" you half-shriek to the boy.
"How did you know about the audition then? Your agent must suck!" the young man said, "To be honest, I really want this part. It's a major Hollywood production we're talking about here!"
"Well, the director came up and just gave me the address..."
"Wow." the young man whistled. "Only people he's impressed with get an address straight off the cuff. You're something special."
Suddenly, your name is called, and the young man pushes you through a door onto a stage. You tremble in front of the director, his glamorous wife and a scary man.
"WHAT PART ARE YOU GOING TO READ FOR?" he booms.
"I don't know the parts." you admit, shaking slightly.
"He's one of mine." the director says. Then he turns to you. "The parts are Nicholas the policeman, General Smith the soldier and Carter the butcher. Which one will you read?"
Nicholas the Policeman
