Life After Life by mevergreen
"I want to find my soulmate," I said, knowing they couldn't possibly help me. I'd never liked anyone before, so how on earth could I like some one now? I guess a part of me just wanted to know who they thought my soulmate would be.

"Yes, of course you would," said the youngest voice. "Your soulmate is something you've always wanted, but you just don't know what you're looking for, do you?" She sounded somewhat amused. I didn't think it was all that amusing.

"Fine, just leave me alone then if you're not going to help," I said bitterly. Why act all high and mighty?

"There's no reason to get upset you know," said the voice like my mothers. "A soulmate is something very special and very different for each person."

"They're hard to find you know, you should search your heart to find what you want," the old voice said.

"What do you want Adrian?" the youngest voice said. I could hear a smile in her voice. "What is it you seek?"
"I want someone who will leave me alone most of the time."
