Room linking is the ability to make a choice link to a room that already exists. In other words, it allows multiple choices (in any place in the story tree) to lead to the same room. Some have used this creatively and created "worlds" — example: the reader can walk into a room, look at objects or talk to a person, and then walk back out to the room they came from.
