"Well... it's not like I'm in a hurry to go back to Expuridius," you say.
The Boss smiles faintly.
"Very well, then."
For the rest of the night the two of you stay at the table in the council chamber and make plans for your investigation. At first, you have no clue why The Boss would want you to go poking around in Veyremendor at all, but as the hours dwindle away you become increasingly impressed with his insights until you agree with his plan and his reasoning completely.
"The man," you breath.
"Yeah, a lot of it comes back to him," says The Boss. "The way you described him, I'd say there's little need to wait for the morning papers. We know who it is."
"So you think he followed me from Veyremendor?"
"Yeah. The only real question is why he didn't confront you."
