PROJECT: Absum

Ignoring the whimper seemed like a good idea, since you didn't know who was up there. What if they were violent or something?

That whimper sounded more like it'd come from an injured animal, but hey, let's leave those details for later.

Sliding out of bed, you look around. There isn't much here, much less anything you can use to open the cell bars with. Just a three bunk bed, a small wooden table, and a tiny feeble lamp. Not many options for trying to squeeze bars open.

There's another guy, on the highest bunk, but he's completely silent, laying down with his back to you.

Since you've decided leaving was your goal, you decide to leave him be for now.

Walking up to the bars, you wrap your fingers around them. They're solid and metal, and cold to the touch. A man seems to be standing right beside your cell, holding a black remote littered with various buttons, and he gazes straight ahead. His expression is blank.

"Excuse me? Can you let us out please?" you ask as politely as possible, not really knowing another way around it, but the man only looks to you, expression unchanging.

"The cells will be opened in 14 minutes for your recreation hours." he states simply, monotone, then peers down onto the small screen on his remote. You can see your name written, 'Percival Marie Simmons' along with the words 'Section C-2, Subject 68'.

"Please refrain from being a nuisance until then." his words are simple, and you sigh.

"Alright, I suppose." Hopefully you'll get some answers once they let you out.

All there is to do is wait then, you suppose.
