PROJECT: Absum

Well, no one said you couldn't be social despite having a terrible dream.

"Are you alright?" you ask aloud, though your voice is a bit rough due to the fact that you'd just woken up.

Time passes though, and it's obvious whoever was whimpering isn't doing it anymore. You sit there, and kinda slide off the bed, peering over the side of the second bunk.

There, cuddled into a ball is whoever was whimpering, by the looks of it. They're engulfed by a thin, ragged blanket, and even under this blanket you can tell they're shaking a whole lot.

Your tone is softer now, as you ask, "Are you okay?" but the small, shaking figure does not respond, and only lays there.

"Don't bother." A voice sounds, and you look up to see another person, on the third bunk of the bed, sitting with his legs crossed.

"She refuses to respond to anyone, really." he states simply, chocolate brown eyes searching you. "She only moves when there's a match in session."

You tilt your head slightly, confused. "A match?"

The guy shakes his head. "We'll get to that later. Your name is?"

"Percival, but you can call me Percy." you respond. "What about you?"

"Rhys." he says. "I haven't gotten her name yet." he states, moving his eyes downwards, as if to gesture to the girl.

"Have you gotten her to even speak yet?"

Rhys shakes his head. "I've learnt it's best to leave her be. She doesn't seem to want to interact with anyone in the least."

You frown, managing to catch a couple stray strands of unruly coffee brown hair from under the cloth the figure was under.

Looking closely, you seem to be able to see a faint glowing from under the sheets.

"... Does she have a phone, or something?"

Rhys raises an eyebrow. "A... phone?" He stares at you incredulously for a moment, before shaking his head. "No, you must be thinking of this." he points to a ring encircled upon his neck, glowing black, (how did you not notice that before?), with the number '17' written upon it in thin white lettering.

"What is it?" you ask, observing it, and Rhys shrugs.

"You tell me."

You don't have much to say after that, so Rhys just eventually lays back down on the bed, back to you and his front side to the wall.

Well, what now?
