The Prophet

Using the staff, you teleport yourself hundreds of miles to the northern kingdom rather than going by foot or horse. Quite handy the staff has become for you. A fear of someone wrenching it away from you is very real. Sleep will be tricky. I'll have to hide the staff nightly.

You are granted an audience with the king after showing some castle guards a few tricks of your staff, turning some rocks into raccoon's. Flanked by the castle guard you approach the throne of the King.

"Ah, another magician! I've grown tired of these other old fools with their cheap parlor tricks." The king says pointing to three older men, clothed in robes similar to your own.

"I am not here to entertain you mighty King. I am here to ask of you to let free the slaves in your possession." You state plainly. The king laughs in your face.

"How dare you! On whose authority do you make such ridiculous demands?!"

"Alru, the one true god demands you free his people."

Once again the King cackles with laughter. " Then why does he send some scraggly, beat up wizard to do his bidding and not do it himself? Fool, leave my kingdom before I throw you to the wolves!"

"If you do not obey the will of Alru, I shall command a series of plagues to force you to relent."

"How kind of you to ask permission first then threaten my kingdom! I do not even worship this heathen god of yours. Guards!"

The kings guards approach you, but raising the staff you launch them all spiraling backwards with a powerful gust of wind. A smug look of disapproval lingers upon the kings face.

"You have skills wizard. Nothing these other magi could not accomplish though. I am thoroughly unamused."

"As am I. I curse this kingdom with a plague of insects for the next three days!" Upon your proclamation you call upon your staff to teleport you outside the castle grounds. You vanish before the king in a plume of white smoke.

Outside the castle you call forth for the sky to rain down...
