The Prophet

You're not going down without a fight so you have to act as swiftly as possible with the crew already moving on your position.

You rush your closest attacker and shove him as hard as you can. He spirals backwards hitting the schooners guardrail. A lucky bump in the ships movement sends him careening into the blue abyss.

"God is not against me, he fights with me!" You lie to perhaps scare away the superstitious sailors.

They pause for a moment which gives you the opportunity to bolt towards your suite. You slip down the stairs from the wetness, stumbling desperately into your room. You hear the men closing in on your position. You grab the only item that may save you, the staff of Alru. Turning back toward the door, you see sailors approaching you with ill intent in their eyes. You point the staff at them and think of lightning shooting forth. Miraculously what you imagined, happens. A bolt of lightning fires from the tip of the oaken staff, blowing back the sailors in your room. Their skeletal corpses sizzle upon the floor of the rocking room. You grin deviously.

Emerging from the lower decks you fire cracks of lightning at every sailor in your path. Some jump overboard in fear. You laugh menacingly as only the captain remains, fearlessly attempting to steer the ship away from the monster. The lumbering crab beast casts a shadow over the entire ship, clearly faster than the Captains schooner.

The boat is rocked from beneath, as the crab creature picks up the entire ship in its horrifying, spike laden crusher claw. You lose your balance a bit as the ship is lifted, your staff flying from your hands and spinning away towards the sea. As the ship begins to go vertical, only two choices remain. Attempt to grab your enchanted staff or grab onto the steering helm with the captain before you fall completely off the ship?
