The shape of a lone Black Sun fighter spacecraft cut silently through the vacuum of space. The stealthy ship was hidden from all sensors, both visual and electronic, of all the ships in the CEL Corporation's fleet. Black like the void, it slipped by the hull of a CEL cruiser like a piece of space junk, unimportant and unnoticed. Once it was about thirty kilometers away from the giant warship, the small ship's ion engine powered up and it sped away toward its objective. Morgan sat behind Alex and David, watching the planet come into view. The trees and lakes made the whole surface green and, had it been under different circumstances, quite beautiful. She didn't have much time to think, however, because a computerized voice broke into her thoughts: "Discontinuing silent running." She looked at the chair that was the pilot's seat as Alex turned it around to face them.
