You grab the longsword and sheild off the shelf, thinking that you're going to need the best defense possible against Velkadin's broadsword.
After you are finished getting ready, you walk out into the dusty arena. Cheers erupt all around you - and you smile as you realize that there are actually people here that want you to win. Among the people cheering you see a beautiful girl whom you have never seen in your small town before. She is cheering and shouting your name, and her long black hair is billowing in the strong wind. She smiles at you broadly.
