The demon scam
You nod, understanding that your situation is still rather grave. Then you say, "If anyone finds out you helped me, you'll be in trouble right?"
Naria just shrugs. "Never you mind. I can handle it."
"No," you say, "I should go on alone from here. It's better that way."
Naria eyes you for a moment. Is that worry you see in her eyes. "Are you sure?" she asks. "Off course," you lie. "I'll be fine."
Naria hesitates. "Well... alright. You take care though, you hear?"
"I will, thanks again." With that, you turn to leave.
You keep walking for a long while, not knowing where you are anymore. Not that you knew that to begin with, but whatever...
Suddenly, you hear a familiar vioce singing happily up ahead. Merle!? Feeling dizzy with relief, you run towards the sound to find her sitting on the ground, playing with small blue rocks.
