You race to the woods, with the little devil closing in FAST on you. You've made it just to the edge of the woods (which you happen to remember border Swimamee Creek) as he's almost upon you. You espy a sturdy tree branch just within your reach just before the six-foot dropoff down the muddy bank into Swimamee Creek and lunge for it. It just so happened that as you swung your legs out forward, the crazy Oompah-Loompah was diving for your legs to tackle you, and he sprawls headlong down the muddy right bank of Swimamee. Dusting off the parchment, you tuck it inside your t-shirts as you begin climbing the tree, all the while keeping a watchful eye backward on the growling little guy, who is shaking the muddy waters of the Creek from his curly black locks. Climbing higher in the tree (all the while hoping his climbing skills are nowhere NEAR as acute as his RUNNING skills), you find the topmost notch in the tree that you think will hold your weight and peer below at the funny-looking mud-soaked midget that is RUNNING UP THE BANK OF SWIMAMEE!! You watch in horror as he jumps for the branch that saved you, just missing it; and watch again as he attempts to climb the tree, the slippery mud on his clothes inhibiting his ascent. An evil homicidal grin crosses his tiny mouth as he extends his left, and then right hands. You gasp as his fingernails grow outward into sturdy, black, six-inch claws! Scrambling backwards with nowhere to go, you look feverishly around for salvation, with none to be had.
His eyes are fixed on you with devilish hilarity as he deftly claws his way up the tree to you. Remembering the parchment, you quickly take it out, hoping the answer may lie within. Your pursuant's stare turns from malice to desperation - "DON'T READ THAT SCROLL!!", he yells, as he begins to climb faster.
You can't understand the Druidic runes, so you drift to the English on the right, reading as if your life depended on it:
"Space and Time will come undone
When e'er these simple words are read,
For as the shadows hide from sun
So will the Earthen come to Fred."
"Fred?" you think aloud.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" the unearthly shriek pierces your ears for a moment before your vision whites out before you, causing everything in sight to disappear...
