PROJECT: Absum by Hysterics
"I'm Emmett." you tell him, and he nods.

Your eyes trail to the middle bunk, and Rhys seems to notice this as you ask, "And who's that?"

He sighs. "I wouldn't bother, if I were you. She's been here a while, and she refuses to interact with anyone in the least."

Oh. A girl.

"Ah..." you say awkwardly, eyes still fixated on the shaking figure on the middle bunk, engulfed in a thin, ragged blanket, barely in good shape at all.

Your eyes zeroed in on a faint glowing from under the sheets and you tilt your head, confused. "Does she have a cellphone, or something?" The thought of a cellphone was great, hopefully if that was the case you could use it and call your parents or something. You didn't plan on staying in a cell very long, really.

Rhys raises an eyebrow. "A... cellphone?" he seems to be confused, before shaking his head. "I think you mean this." he states, pointing to a black glowing tube encircled around his neck.

How did you not notice that before, you could only wonder.

"What is it?" you ask, and Rhys shrugs. "You tell me." He pauses, but adds a moment later, "... You know, you have one as well."

Your eyes widen.

And with that, your hands rush to your neck. As promised, you can feel the smooth material of a tube like contraption around your neck. Suddenly you can feel its weight, and it really isn't reassuring in the least.

"What does it do?" you ask, trying to tug it off, and Rhys watches you.

"Don't bother with that either. No one can take them off besides the Game Master."

Oh. That guy again. "Why?" you ask, frowning.

Rhys sighs. "No more questions, if you may. You can ask questions later during our recreation hours."

"That's when they open our cells." he adds, and your expression lights up. Great!

"When do they start?"

Rhys doesn't seem very pleased that you just asked another question despite him just having told you not to, but responds anyways.

"In an hour or two, I'd assume." he states.

An hour suddenly feel so far away.

"What do we do 'til then?"

Rhys can only sigh once more, irritatedly. "We wait." He hisses.

Well, okay.
Try to talk to the girl on the second bunk.
